Director of Surgery and Managing Partner

Feller and Bloxham Medical, PC and affiliates.

Background

Bloxham discovered his passion of hair restoration in his undergraduate pre-med years. His grandmother had severe chemotherapy-induced alopecia and Dr Bloxham helped her find a hair loss professional. This experience sparked his keen interest in both hair loss and hair restoration. Bloxham graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and then attended medical school to become the foremost hair loss physician in the country.

Experience

In fact, before even starting medical school, Dr Bloxham had become involved in the pate-centric community: ‘… as a co-moderator, editorial assistant and writer for two leading Hair Transplant websites, hairtransplantweb.com , and its affiliated forum,’ two of the leading forums for hair loss and advice-giving in the avid alienating realm. There he coupled writing articles, assisting thousands of hair-loss afflicted patients, and engaging with some of the leading hair transplant surgeons, including Dr Alan Feller. The latter one of Bloxham’s mentors, encouraging him to continue his interest.

Bloxham graduated from Andrew Taylor Still University with his honour and completed his tenure with postgraduate training at Geisinger Medical Center (formerly Penn State Geisinger), where he was invited into a preceptorship fellowship in hair transplant surgery under the scalp surgeon Alan Feller at Feller Medical, PC in Great Neck, New York. Feller and Bloxham’s collaboration was so successful that they decided to continue on as partners and open Feller and Bloxham Hair Transplantation, PC.

Hair Restoration Techniques

Feller & Bloxham Hair Transplantation, with offices in Great Neck, NY, uses some of the most advanced techniques available, including FUT (strip surgery), FUE and mFUE: Dr Bloxham states: ‘We do a range of high-density “mega sessions” that involve large sessions with over 4,000 grafts typically, and we do more challenging repair surgeries – and everything in between.’ Dr Bloxham, Dr Alan Feller and Dr William Lindsey were instrumental in developing the modified FUE (mFUE) technique. Dr Bloxham uses only manual instruments for each surgery, along with a staff of in-house technicians dedicated to ensuring the quality and precision of hair transplant procedures.

Personal Life

When he would find time to be with his family, Dr Bloxham would write fiction, play guitar, watch a movie or learn the latest about new hair loss treatments. He resides with his wife, a pediatrician who is also board-certified, on Long Island, NY.
